HIGH-DENSITY POLYETHYLENE (PEHD)
High-density polyethylene is a polymer of the family of olefinic polymers (such as polypropylene), or polyethylenes. Its formula is (-CH2-CH2-)n. It is a thermoplastic polymer made up of repetitive units of ethylene.
High-density polyethylene is an addition polymer made up of repetitive units of ethylene. In the polymerization process, Ziegler-Natta type catalysts are used, and the Ethylene is polymerized at low pressures by means of free radicals.
